*Santo Domingo, DN*.- The singer and music producer, Ángelo Vargas, presents his latest audiovisual work “Lámpara pa’ mis Pies,” a typical version of maestro Juan Luis Guerra’s song, along with the renowned merengue artist Héctor Acosta “el Torito.” This new version highlights the modern colors of typical merengue, the musical synchronization, and the prodigious voices of these two great exponents of Dominican popular music. This project involved great musicians from Cibao, under the arrangements of maestro Patricio Bonilla and the direction and production of Ángelo Vargas.
The artist Ángelo Vargas was deeply impressed in 2005 when he attended a Juan Luis Guerra concert in Barcelona and saw over 50,000 people dance and sing to “El Farolito” and “La Cosquillita,” demonstrating that typical merengue knows no boundaries.
